Managing Fuels

SleepingSalesman can support as many fuels as you require. It's simply a matter of you adding more as needed.

SleepingSalesman comes with the most common fuel types already installed. If there are types you don't need, feel free to delete them.

From the Administration menu, select "Add/Remove Fuels "

You will be presented with the following screen: -

Adding a Fuel

1. In the box marked "New Fuel" enter the name of the fuel you want to add.
2. Press the button marked "Add Fuel" to add the fuel to SleepingSalesman. If successful the new fuel will be added to the list.

Notes

• We recommend keeping the text formatting the same for all your fuels. I.E. if they are written as "PETROL", "Petrol" or "petrol" then it is best that any new fuels you add use the same formatting. This is just for consistency and doesn't actually affect the performance of the system.
• If you're adding a vehicle that doesn't have the correct type of fuel in the list, it's best to create the new fuel before creating the vehicle.

Deleting A Fuel

1. Select the fuel you want to delete from the list marked "Fuels".
2. Press the button marked "Delete Selected Fuel".

Notes

• When you delete a fuel, you must make sure to update any vehicles assigned to that fuel. Otherwise it will not appear in the searchable list your customers see.
• Once you press the "Delete Selected Fuel" button, there is no going back.
