Managing Vehicle Makes

SleepingSalesman can support as many makes as you require. It's simply a matter of you adding more as needed.

From the Administration menu, select "Add/Remove Makes"

You will be presented with the following screen: -

Adding a Make

1. In the box marked "New Make" enter the name of the make you want to add.
2. Press the button marked "Add Make" to add the make to SleepingSalesman. If successful the new make will be added to the list.

Notes

• We recommend keeping the text formatting the same for all your makes. I.E. if they are written as "FORD", "Ford" or "ford" then it is best that any new makes you add use the same formatting. This is just for consistency and doesn't actually affect the performance of the system.
• If you're adding a vehicle that doesn't have a make in the list, it's best to create the new make before creating the vehicle.

Deleting A Make

1. Select the make you want to delete list marked "Makes".
2. Press the button marked "Delete Selected Make".

Notes

• When you delete a make, you must make sure to update any vehicles assigned to that make. Otherwise it will not appear in the searchable list your customers see.
• Once you press the "Delete Selected Make" button, there is no going back.
