Navigation • System MaintenanceThe system maintenance section allows you to take backups of your SleepingSalesman database. How often you do this is dependant on how often you update the database and how much you can stand to loose should things go wrong. There are two options available to you. Backing up the database structure or backing up the database data. Backup Your StructureThe database structure is an internal description of the way your data is stored in SleepingSalesman. It's not something you can change. Generally there isn't any need for you to backup your data structure regularly - Under normal conditions it doesn't change. The only time it might change is if opcs does changes to your SleepingSalesman which affect this internal layout. In this event though, we would warn you of the required change. To backup the data structure, press the button marked "Backup Database Structure". This will then start the process of creating the backup and initiating a download of the database structure. Save this file in a safe place. Note that the file is dated so you can keep track of when the backup was done. Backup Your DataThe "data" describes the following elements of SleepingSalesman: -
